TechNTalk – Helping Older Adults Improve Their Tech Skills
June 30 session at Montague Rural Action Centre

TechNTalk will provide free sessions across the province this summer to help people over 55 become more comfortable and empowered to use the latest in communications technology. At each session, participants will be paired with a volunteer for one-on-one help. Each session will cover the following skills:
- Setting up and/or operating your specific device(s);
- Communication options (e.g. email, text, Facetime) and social media (e.g. Facebook, Instagram); and,
- Broadening your knowledge of the internet (e.g. how to use search functions, navigating your internet browser).

More Transportation Options in Rural PEI
Transit PEI makes the daily commute easier for workers across rural PEI. With regular weekday bus service along main highways and links to communities like Montague, Souris, and Tignish, more Islanders can access jobs without needing a personal vehicle. For more information about the service and to book your trip in advance check HERE.
In addition, a new rural ride-share pilot program will provide more local evening and late-night transportation options in rural communities across PEI. The program is a partnership between the PEILCC and Kari ride-share. The program will run as a six-month pilot. Recruitment for rural drivers will begin immediately.
