Rural Action Centres are business and community development hubs in West Prince, Kings County, and the Evangeline Region.
Business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, employers and community groups can find multiple federal, provincial and nongovernmental agencies under one roof at their local Rural Action Centre (RAC). Whether it’s funding programs, financing options, skills training, help with hiring employees, or how to write a business plan, your Rural Action Centre is the place to start.
A dedicated Client Information Officer helps clients identify their needs and then connects them to the appropriate partner or program in their RAC or region. Rural Action Centres also host skills training and information sessions to help businesses and communities succeed.
As business and community development hubs, Rural Action Centres help keep businesses, community groups and service providers connected so they can work together to build vibrant and prosperous rural communities in Prince Edward Island.
Rural Action Centres are a joint initiative of the Government of Canada (ACOA), the Province (Fisheries & Communities, Innovation PEI), and community partners CBDC West Prince Ventures Ltd., Active Communities Inc. and RDÉE IPE.
