Marie Dubé is the founder of Timeless Events PEI, an event planning and coordination business based in Prince Edward Island. Originally from Quebec, Marie relocated to PEI in 2020, bringing with her a formal education in event planning and extensive experience organizing a wide range of events — from festivals and charity fundraisers to weddings and corporate retreats.

Marie first connected with the Rural Action Centre (RAC) in Wellington following her participation in the francophone Ignition Contest, where she was introduced to the Centre through Innovation PEI and RDÉE.
Based on her success in the Ignition Contest, RAC Wellington Client Information Officer Marthe Ngombi invited Marie to participate in the Good News Campaign, a partnership between the Rural Action Centres, Innovation PEI, the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, and radio stations Hot 105.5 and Ocean 100. The Good News Campaign celebrates business success, growth and diversity across Prince Edward Island.
Through her connection to the Rural Action Centre, Marie was able to raise awareness of her business and accessed resources that helped her navigate the early stages of entrepreneurship in a rural setting. She credits the Rural Action Centre with providing valuable guidance and visibility and emphasizes the importance of having such a resource available to business owners in rural communities.
Marie’s story reflects the impact of accessible, community-based support systems in helping entrepreneurs establish and grow their ventures in rural Prince Edward Island.
