Active Transportation Fund: Deadline December 2

Attention: Municipalities, Indigenous communities and Community Nonprofits
If you want to:

  1. build new walking & bike paths, widen paved shoulders
  2. better connect existing walking & cycling trails or
  3. improve & grow active transportation networks,

apply to the AT Fund for active transportation. Guidelines and criteria can be found HERE.

Fiona: Deadline for Wage Rebate – November 30

Wage Rebate for Impacted Workers (includes self-employed) to help cover wages while the business was closed and not earning revenue because of power outages or storm damage. Deadline to apply – November 30, 2022.

 Upcoming Training & Info Sessions at Rural Action Centres

  • November 29 – Financial Literacy 101 for Newcomers – Alberton
    This session taking place at the Rural Action Centre in Alberton is targeted at newcomers who are in the market for a new home and have questions about how to finance their purchase. Dan Roache, Home Finance Advisor – ScotiaBank O’Leary – will facilitate this session.

Networking Opportunities: Holiday Celebrations

  • December 2 – La P’tite fête des Fêtes – Centre Belle Alliance, Summerside
    The annual Christmas party for RDEE members and their guests will feature a festive meal, games, and a visit from Santa. Finalists for the Entrepreneurship Excellence Awards will be announced during the event.
  • December 8 – Eastern PEI Christmas Business Mixer – The Lookout, Souris
    Mix and mingle with entrepreneurs and a variety of business development service providers for our annual Eastern PEI Christmas mixer party at The Lookout in Souris.

The Good News Campaign on Hot 105.5 & Ocean 100

Good things are happening on Prince Edward Island thanks to locally owned and operated business and nonprofits! Rural Action Centres staff and partners are pleased to support business owners and nonprofits, and happy to share their success in partnership with Hot 105.5 and Ocean 100. Businesses and non-profits across the province contribute to PEI’s economy and enhance our communities. Tune in to the radio hear the Good News Campaign or watch for Good News stories and sound clips on our social media channels.
