Clean Technology: Funding for Agriculture

A new pilot program will help farmers adopt clean technologies and implement on-farm projects that improve energy efficiency, generate renewable energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and lower energy costs. The PEI Agriculture Energy Systems Pilot Program (PEIAgESP) is a one-year pilot with possibility of extension.

Energy activities in the following categories are covered: * Livestock barns, crop storages and greenhouses; * Improved efficiency grain dryers; * Farm equipment and Process efficiency. Deadline to apply is March 4, 2024. Find details, program guidelines and how to apply HERE.

Canada Post Community Foundation Grants
Deadline March 1st – Grants of $5000 to $25000 available

The Canada Post Community Foundation provides grants to Canadian schools, charities and community organizations that make a difference in the lives of children and youth (up to age 21). Projects must focus on Community, Health or Education and should increase the capacity of an organization and create or expand services, rather than maintaining existing services. Skills PEI – Wage Subsidies to Hire Students

SkillsPEI offers a variety of programs to support employers in their hiring and training needs. Two summer student employment programs – Jobs for Youth and Post- Secondary Program – offer employers wage subsidies. Open to non-profits, private businesses, and the public sector, these programs give priority to employers who provide work opportunities that promote community economic development and a valuable experience related to the student’s field of study.
