COVID-19 Supports: Businesses, Employers, Community Non-Profits
Spring is just around the corner, so it’s time to start thinking about summer jobs! Jobs for Youth program offers wage support for employers to create employment opportunities for PEI students. The deadline for employers to apply is April 15, 2022. For more information please contact the Employment Development Agency at [email protected].
Skills PEI’s Post-Secondary Student Program is a summer employment program that provides post-secondary students with a valuable experiential learning opportunity related to the student’s field of study. Private sector, Not-for-Profit organizations and public sector employers (municipalities) are eligible for 50 % to 100% wage subsidies. Deadline for employers to apply and other details will be available HERE as of February 28th.
Tourism Activation Grants – Applications Open today
The online application opens at 9:00 AM on February 25, 2022. The grant will cover up to 50% of the approved eligible expenses to a maximum of $50,000. Applications will be accepted until the funding is exhausted. To learn more about the program and apply, operators can check HERE.
Acadian and Francophone Culture Fund – Now Open
Your non-profit organization may be eligible for funding to develop or promote a unique cultural experience that will attract Francophone residents/visitors/ (e.g. service, festival or cultural experience). Deadline to apply is April 15th 2022.
Community Celebration Fund – $2500 grants
Your non-profit organization may be eligible for up to $2,500 to assist with costs to present your festival or event through the Community Celebration Fund. Applications will be accepted until April 15th, 2022 at 4 p.m. Apply HERE.
