From setting up your business structure to understanding your numbers, each session provides practical, hands-on guidance to help you make informed financial decisions and operate your new business with confidence. Among other useful tips and tricks, the following will be covered throughout the course:

November 18th – Starting Strong

Learn the key considerations for starting a business, from registering your business, developing sound business processes to implementing cloud accounting systems and building effective budgets. Discover available programs and services that can support your startup or growing business.

November 25th – Managing Money/Tax Responsibilities

Understand how to take control of your finances with easy to use tools like Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel. Learn how to create and manage cash flow projections and budgets that help you plan for sustainability and growth. Gain clarity on your tax responsibilities for sales tax, payroll remittances, and personal/corporate income taxes.

December 2nd– Financial Confidence

Learn about financial statements; explore income statements, balance sheets, and how they connect to your business’s health. Learn how to prepare for year-end/tax season. Learn the difference between Notice to Reader, Review, and Audit engagements.
