OHS Training for Seasonal Workers & Employers

The Workers Compensation Board (WCB), in collaboration with the Rural Action Centers, is presenting information sessions tailored for seasonal Island workers and employers. The sessions aim to help workers and employers better understand their roles and responsibilities around occupational health and safety (OHS).

This session will focus on

• worker orientation
• supervisor responsibilities
• and awareness of safety for new and young workers.

WCB education consultants will explore the key components of a thorough orientation, discuss the legal OHS obligations of supervisors, and address the distinct challenges encountered by new and young workers.

This session is open to workers at all levels, supervisors, HR professionals, and those eager to learn more about their OHS responsibilities.
