Funding for Community Halls to install Heat Pumps
Community centres across the province can save fuel costs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by adding a heat pump. Community centres can access up to $20,000 towards the purchase and installation of heat pumps through the Community Revitalization Program. Please contact your local Rural Action Centre to reach the Community Development Officer in your area, who can help you apply to this program.
ACOA support for Communities post Fiona
The Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) is now accepting applications from communities, the non-profit organizations that provide services to them, and sectors impacted by Hurricane Fiona but not eligible for other sources of financial support. Find more information including the application and guidelines HERE. Eligible applicants include:
- not-for-profit organizations
- municipalities
- economic development associations
- post-secondary institutions
- Indigenous organizations
Extension of COVID Special Leave Fund
The COVID-19 Special Leave Fund has been extended to March 31, 2023. This fund provides assistance to employers to help cover wages for employees who cannot work owing to illness. Find program details HERE.
