Gail Steele – Ancestor Hunter

Gail Steele is passionate about history and heritage.

The site manager at Sir Andrew Macphail Homestead is in her element when connecting visitors to the museum to PEI’s past. Gail also operates her own small business, Ancestor Hunter – which helps others research their own genealogy. This summer Ancestor Hunter will host PEI’s first ever genealogy conference.

Gail sought the help of the Rural Action Centre in Montague when launching her business and has this to say about the help she’s received:

“The Rural Action Centre has provided and continues to provide me with the knowledge and support that I need to start and grow my small business, but also the support needed for my current job as Site Manager at the Sir Andrew Macphail Homestead.”
