Janine & Janelle Arsenault, the third generation of entrepreneurs to lead the company, revived the sawmill that lay dormant for 14 years and created a whole new business, when they took over the from their father.
Located in St Chrysostome, Arsenault Family Lumber now produces certified grade-stamped lumber for use in home construction.
When the twin sisters initially wanted to revive the mill, they thought it would be out of their reach. But after turning to the Rural Action Centre in Wellington for help, they found financing from CBDC Central and wage subsidy programs from Skills PEI that helped them realize their dream.
