Pauline Kelly – Celebration Station

The name says it all – Celebration Station! Pauline Kelly and her dedicated team have made the refurbished train station a central hub in the village of Cardigan.

Residents and visitors alike can re-fuel with tasty eat-in or take-out meals; gather for community celebrations; participate in a yoga or art class; or find that perfect gift designed by local artisans. The business also offers decorating services and supplies for weddings, including floral arrangements.

Armed with a business idea in mind, Pauline accessed critical bookkeeping training via the Rural Action Centre in Montague before she completed her business plan with Skills PEI and applied for a start-up loan from CBDC East.

Pauline says the support offered by the Rural Action Centre has been key to the Celebration Station’s success.

“The knowledge and financial support that the Rural Action Center has provided me with during this first year of operation has been huge and there are many more skills for me to gain. I have a three-year plan and there are many ideas and concepts we want to develop further.
