Rural Jobs Initiative – funding for 200 additional jobs
To date in 2020, the Rural Jobs Initiative has funded 90 jobs in retail, farming, fishing, and trades industries across communities from West Prince to Eastern Kings. The recently announced new funding will cover 200 more positions. The program covers 75% of wages for 14 weeks and is open to private businesses and not-for-profits. Successful Business Basics – Online Webinar Series
Successful Business Basics is a 15-hour workshop series covering Budget Planning, Cash Flow Control, Beginner Excel, Tax Responsibilities and Financial Statements. This online course will be offered via Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays from August 11 to September 10. The class time, either morning (8:30 to 10) or evening (6 to 7:30 p.m.), will be confirmed based on the needs of participants.
Although Successful Business Basics in August will be in English only, the course will be offered in French as soon as enough participants have registered. Please contact your Rural Action Centre to register for Successful Business Basics online.
COVID-19 Workspace Adaptation Assistance Fund – extended to August 31, 2010
