Telework Adaptation Fund – Helping employees work from home

Businesses and community organizations can apply for assistance toward the cost of activities that enable their employees to work efficiently from home. The Telework Adaptation Fund is available for Island entities encouraging employees to work remotely at least 60% of each pay period. Find the details and online application here. Deadline is October 30, 2020.

Ignition Fund $25,000 – Info Sessions

The Ignition Fund is a competitive based fund for entrepreneurs seeking start-up capital for a new innovative business venture. Innovation PEI will award up to $25,000 to a successful applicant to turn venture ideas into tangible, viable businesses. A matching contribution is not required. Attend an information sessions online this week. Check out program details here. Deadline for applications is October 9th.

Successful Business Basics Online Webinar Series – begins October 13th

Registration is now open for this 15-hour workshop series via Zoom. Topics include: Budget Planning, Cash Flow Control, Beginner Excel, Tax Responsibilities and Financial Statements. The course will be offered Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:30 to 10, October 13 to November 12th. To register, please email: [email protected] by noon October 9th.

“Embracing the Future: How Entrepreneurs are Adapting to the Pandemic”

French-speaking entrepreneurs and co-operators are invited to attend an online presentation by Marie Christine Gingras, Director of the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) for New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. To register, please email: [email protected] by Friday, Oct. 16.
