Seasonal Workers & Employers: Occupational Health & Safety
The Workers Compensation Board (WCB), in collaboration with the Rural Action Centers, is presenting information sessions tailored for seasonal workers and employers. The focus of the sessions will be on roles and responsibilities around occupational health and safety (OHS) specifically: worker orientation; supervisor responsibilities; and awareness of safety for new and young workers. PEI Arts Grants: Create Share Learn

Funding is available to Prince Edward Island artists through a juried grant application process. Arts Grants fall into three categories (Create, Share, Learn). Artists can apply to all three.
Application deadline is May 13th, 2024, at 4pm.

Forest Commission – Public Input Sessions

Islanders are invited to provide input on forestry priorities at meetings across the province. Towards A New Forest Policy, a discussion paper by the Prince Edward Island Forestry Commission, outlines 13 key issues related to our forests and the forestry sector.
The public meetings dates and locations are below. All meetings will run from 7-9pm.
- May 16: O’Leary, Town Hall boardroom
- May 21: Abram-Village, Village Musical Acadien (bilingual; English simultaneous interpretations available)
- May 28: Montague, Cavendish Farms Wellness Centre
- May 30: Souris, Eastern Kings Community Centre
