Take a Virtual Tour of your local Rural Action Centre

June 12, 2025

Take a Virtual Tour of your local Rural Action Centre

We are delighted to introduce virtual tours to our website. The tours provide an immersive view of Prince Edward Island’s three Rural Action Centres – each brimming with resources and opportunities.

You will now benefit from a 360 view of the interior and exterior of each centre. As you tour the building, a text box will identify the workspace of our in-house partners: Innovation PEI, CBDC, RDEE, ACOA, regional tourism associations and others. Be sure to click on the logo of each to be directed to their website for more information.

See first-hand a street-view of where our buildings are located. Take the guess work out of where you will be attending your next not-for-profit meeting or training workshop, or where you will meet one of our service delivery partners to start your entrepreneurial journey.

Thank you to Lisa DesRoches at Atlantic360 Photography who worked with us to make this happen. Check the tours HERE. We are open for business and here to serve you – come on in!

Business Supports: Tariffs and Trade

Many PEI businesses, those exporting goods or importing supplies, are impacted by the ongoing trade war with the US.

For up-to-date information, keep an eye on this website. It provides a gateway to help from both the federal and provincial government:  innovationpei.com/tariff-response.

Innovation PEI’s: Export Enhancement and Diversification Fund provides grants covering up to 60% of eligible costs such as market research & strategies, advertising, and trade shows (including travel) to a maximum of $32,000.

EXPANDED Trade Missions: PEI is doubling trade missions for Island exporters.  Check out Trade Calendar – Innovation PEI.

CBDC Tariff and Customs Advisory Program (TCAP) offers Atlantic Canadian companies expert guidance to manage tariffs, optimize supply chains and stay compliant with trade regulations. Find details HERE.

Mental Health in our Farming Community

The Department of Agriculture wants to better understand mental health within PEI’s farming community. PEI farmers and farm employees are asked to complete a brief survey. The aim is to improve support and services available on PEI. It only takes about 10 minutes and can be found HERE. The survey is open until June 15th.

Festival of Small Halls: June 13-22, 2025

At Rural Action Centres, we are all about supporting local in every way. This month, we are excited for the annual PEI Festival of Small Halls, which celebrates the local arts scene and rural PEI venues. Two things we love!

From June 13-22, shows are happening all across the Island, featuring music, comedy, dance, storytelling and more. Tickets are available now! Check out the full schedule of events and get your tickets at www.smallhalls.com.

Extending the Tourism Season

The 2025/26 Seasonal Extension Tourism Product Development Fund provides assistance to PEI tourism businesses to develop new product offerings and initiatives during the fall, winter and/or spring. Find the details and how to apply HERE.
