Transportation West Inc.
Sherry Tremblay is the General Manager of Transportation West Inc., a vital service provider in Western Prince Edward Island. Her organization’s mission is to deliver affordable, door-to-door accessible transportation, primarily serving seniors and individuals with special needs. With a strong emphasis on respect and confidentiality, Transportation West ensures that every client feels valued and supported.

Sherry has been deeply engaged with the Rural Action Centre (RAC) in Alberton, leveraging its resources to strengthen her business. Over the years, she has participated in numerous workshops and training sessions, including payroll, human resources, customer service, employment standards, CPR certification, and Excel skills development. These opportunities have equipped her team with essential knowledge and practical skills, fostering growth and compliance in an ever-changing business environment.
Recently, Sherry successfully applied for her first loan through CBDC; she credits their outstanding staff—particularly Lucille and Maxine—for making the process smooth and accessible. She also values RAC’s email updates, which keep her informed about local events, training sessions, and business resources.

Sherry first learned about RAC through a board member and quickly recognized its importance. She believes the Centre plays a critical role in rural communities by offering support, training, and connections that help businesses thrive. Her experience with RAC’s Client Information Officer, Barb, exemplifies this commitment: when Sherry needed a CPR course for staff, Barb arranged one within a week.
For Sherry, RAC is more than a resource—it’s a partner in building capacity and resilience for rural businesses. Her proactive approach and dedication to continuous learning make her a standout advocate for community-driven development.
