COVID-19 Special Leave Fund – Changes
The provincial COVID-19 Special Leave Fund now provides up to five days per week, on two separate occasions, to a maximum of 10 days of wage support, to coincide with the current COVID-19 isolation requirements in the province. Check HERE for more details.
The Fund provides support to workers and self-employed individuals who:
- are unable to work due to illness, COVID-19 testing or are required to self-isolate;
- have children under the age of 12 or family members who need to isolate and are in need of supervised care; and
- do not have access to paid sick leave or the ability to work from home.
Canadian Digital Adoption Program
The Government of Canada recently announced the Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) to help get your business online, give your e-commerce presence a boost, or help digitalize your business’s operations. CDAP provides funding and support to businesses, as well as training and work opportunities for young Canadians. Community Facilities Registry
Are you looking for a community space to rent? Or does your organization have a kitchen or meeting room available? The Communities Facilities Registry allows groups to book facilities such as community centres, arenas, etc for public gatherings across PEI. Jobs & Growth Fund
The Jobs and Growth Fund (JGF) ,delivered through ACOA, provides funding to businesses, co-ops, non-profit organizations and community economic development partners to help create jobs and position local economies for long-term growth. Businesses could receive interest-free repayable contributions for up to 50 percent of eligible costs and non-profits could receive non-repayable contributions for up to 90 percent of eligible costs. Applications will be accepted on a continuous intake basis until the funding is fully allocated. Please review the applicant guide for more information
