Youth-on-Board – Opportunities in Rural Communities
Youth in rural communities – enrolled in Grades 10 to 12 – have the opportunity to take an active role in non-profit boards and municipal government in their communities. Through the Youth-on-Board Program they will learn about what it means to be a member of a Board of Directors, how to properly run a meeting, and how to better develop a resume. There is even the chance to earn an honorarium. Check out the details HERE. Deadline to apply is September 27!
GEDI & Community Enhancement Program – Now Open
The Gender, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion (GEDI) & Community Enhancement Program is a pilot program supporting projects or initiatives that directly contribute to a more inclusive PEI. Funding is available to support a wide range of projects to improve cultural inclusion, population retention, anti-racism initiatives, gender-based support and empowerment, and more. 100% of project costs are covered. PEI Neighour Week – September 19 to 24
PEI Community Navigators are proud to host PEI Neighbour Week – a celebration of community, encouraging people to connect with their neighbours. Social connections help foster pride, create feelings of belonging, and contribute to the growth and vibrancy of communities.
