
Emergency Program for Self-Employed & Workers
The Province is offering two new support programs to assist the self-employed and employees who may be affected by the COVID19 circuit breaker in effect from December 7 to 21. See details below. Click on the link to apply online.
- Prince Edward Island Emergency Payment for Workers – $500 payment for workers and self-employed who lost income or had hours reduced from December 7 to 21 (employee applies).
- Employee Gift Card Program (relaunched) – $100 grocery gift cards are for workers who have been laid off between December 7 and 21 (employer applies).
Businesses: Up to $2500 available to support Local Advertising
If your business provides goods and services to Prince Edward Island consumers, you may be eligible for a non-repayable $2500 contribution towards your advertisement placement costs. The COVID19 Local Advertising Fund contributes to direct costs incurred from November 15, 2020, through December 31, 2020. Businesses can apply for the cash contribution AFTER the advertising campaign has been completed. Please check here for details.
